Do You Hear What I Hear?????

Christmas Carols are playing everywhere you go this time of year, but do you really hear them? A very popular one can give you a clue on how to work better with your customers and avoid misunderstands. I know you know the carol and with the first few beats you will be murmuring along with the rest of us. ....Do You Hear What I Hear.

Actively listening to customers or "Hearing” what they are saying is a lost art. Many business “Misunderstandings” are merely a failure to "Hear" what is being spoken.

The reason for this failure to "Hear" is because we are wanting to speak so badly and are too busy preparing what we are going to say, that we fail to listen to what our customers are trying to tell us. We are not having a conversation with them, just a planned presentation and it does not matter what the customer says. We are just waiting for the opening to continue the presentation and then when the sales is not made or the order not place we wonder "Why".

How do we resolve this....? Simple; just relax, talk, listen and have a genuine two way conversation and you will be amazed at the results. This can be a Christmas Present that can give to you all year long.
